Introduction on program

“For Koreans, Kimjang means more than just preparing Kimchi for the winter. Kimjangrequires preparing enough Kimchi in early winter to last throughout winter. Still, furthermore, it is a special seasonal event gathering families, neighbors, and friends to have fun and enjoy working together. (The World Institute of Kimchi)”

On the occasion of the online KIMJANG: The Aesthetics of SHARING exhibition, the Korean Cultural Centre will host a series of in-person KIMJANG workshops for the Canadian public during the exhibition. This workshop aims to celebrate the KIMJANG spirit of sharing and the healthy diet of Kimchi with our fellow Canadians.

This 2-hour workshop is to be held at the KCC Gallery, inviting a maximum of 20 participants at one time. The workshop is free, but registration will be required.
